There is an often ignored principle that repeatedly shows up in life. Many times I have been amazed at how well it works and dumbfounded by how many people and organizations ignore it. It is referred to as Pareto's Law... the 80/20 Principle and it has been proven again, and again. It is a concept that asserts that a minority of causes, inputs, or effort usually lead to a majority of the results, outputs, or achievements.

Want examples? Think about your own life... I can bet 20% of your clothes are worn 80% of the time. In business, 20% of the products sold usually account for 80% of profits. It's the same with customers... 20% of 'best buyers' often account for 80% of profits. And if you want an even more extreme example, consider this. The top 10% of income earners hold 85% of the world's wealth! (Even crazier is that the top 1% controls a whopping 50%!).
